What is the Penn State PGM Open?

 

It’s a two-day golf tournament run by Penn State PGA Professional Golf Management’s Student Society. The event will be held from 9/1-9/2. To be eligible for this event, players must have a 12 handicap or better. The PGM Open gives an opportunity for all golfers in Pennsylvania and surrounding states an opportunity to play in an extremely competitive environment at two championship courses. Along with the playing experience, high school and collegiate participants will be able to display their skills in front of both the men’s and women’s Penn State Division I Golf coaches. The top five players in the event will be paid out after the two days. The champion will receive a payout and in addition, a handcrafted bowl trophy fashioned from a tree at the Penn State Golf Courses.
